The main products that are transported in the company are fruits, vegetables, flowers, and meat and even they are starting a new line of pharmacological products.<\/p><p>At the moment I\u2019m in Spain enjoying my holidays, although I\u2019m coming back to Hannon (Northern Ireland) in a couple of weeks. Then, by the end of August, I\u2019m going to Holland and also to France, where the company is located too.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3b603c0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"3b603c0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Which areas of the company did you work on?<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-38ffc06 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"38ffc06\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The company always emphasized on the fact that, as I have no background on logistics, I had to start from scratch. Therefore, <strong>I started working in the warehouse<\/strong>, looking at how activities are done in Dublin\u2019s depot, including loading and unloading trucks, optimizing and making the most of the available space in the warehouse, and organizing all the operations in a depot.<\/p><p><strong>After that, I was moved to the office<\/strong>, where I learned from the planners and all the office staff. I also learned about the main problems a logistics depot can face, such as missing pallets, unlabelled pallets, dealing with a team of numerous people, or even how to deal in an auction.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-44cc12f elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"44cc12f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Was the knowledge acquired in the master's useful for it? <\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6f102e0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6f102e0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>All the subjects that are related to logistics and supply chain, such as Agrologistics, was definitely the most useful subjects for my internship. Nevertheless, I think <strong>every subject taught me something different that I didn\u2019t know before.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d11bf71 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"d11bf71\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Explain what you learned in the company that you didn\u2019t know before.<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ab8fcab elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ab8fcab\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Honestly, most of the things are present in the day by day in logistics companies. I had never been familiar with haulers, <strong>how they organize their activities, and how they are managed<\/strong>, from the most operational side such as loading and unloading trucks, setting the temperature in trailers or how to optimize space in a warehouse to plan the different trucks for the next day or how to manage such a big team.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2e79758 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"2e79758\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Was the language a barrier for your internship? How did you overcome this challenge?<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d651dbb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d651dbb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>At first, I struggled a little bit with the Irish and Northern Irish accent and slang but t<strong>he adaptation was very quick and easy, thanks to my experience living abroad and the Irish people&#8217;s hospitality.<\/strong> I really enjoyed being there, I\u2019ve been even much in contact with their culture, especially in sports. I even went to a Gaelic Football match. However, <strong>I suggested new ideas such as improving the software they use<\/strong> or the system they have in the warehouse, as it is still done with paper, or even different ways to \u201ctip\u201d the pallets in the warehouse. T<strong>hey were pretty impressed of my knowledge<\/strong> despite the fact that I never was familiar with logistics, and I think I definitely made a good first impression.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a48a8fa elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"a48a8fa\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Is the company offering you an extension of the internship or a contract?<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9598e3d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9598e3d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>I was offered a Trainee contract for these last 3 months, but <strong>I\u2019ll be offered another contract<\/strong> as soon as these months are done.<\/p><p>So far, the only thing that I know is that <strong>I\u2019m going to Rotterdam to keep learning<\/strong> and definitely start working, but I still don\u2019t know it yet.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-11a7e99 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"11a7e99\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Do you think the mandatory internship is relevant in MIAM?<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2023311 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2023311\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Definitely, I think the practical side of the knowledge we have been learning this last year is essential to consolidate it in our brains, especially the knowledge we\u2019re really interested on. Besides, <strong>it is an excellent start for our working career and a good starting point to start networking. <\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fee3d64 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"fee3d64\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Explain how you feel about the internship and the master's in general. Would you recommend the experience?<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6e17069 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6e17069\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>I do really recommend the master\u2019s degree to everybody, even to the people that have no background in Agribusiness. <strong>I think I\u2019m a clear example that no background is needed to do this.<\/strong> All you have to do is show interest and keep working to reach your goals and dreams. It all depends on you, if you have to study the double, do it, if you have to ask a hundred questions, ask them. Nobody will look bad at you and everybody will be keen to help you.
