The agricultural sector in Almeria is experiencing days of meeting and celebration this week. The International Fair of Intensive Production and Auxiliary Industry Infoagro Exhibition is being held at the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones de Aguadulce (Roquetas de Mar) after 4 years, an event postponed due to the pandemic.
Infoagro Exhibition is a breath of fresh air in a season marked by rising costs. A large part of Almeria’s agricultural production attended this event, which was also attended by the ISAM Business School. Extending its efforts to place Almeria and Spain at the epicentre of agribusiness on a global scale, ISAM (International School of Agri Management) has once again taken part in Infoagro Exhibition, “the ideal setting to explain live to our public all that the specialised training we provide can contribute to the development of their farms”, in the words of Germán Fernández, CEO and president of ISAM.
The current timing is appropriate. The European supermarket is once again looking strongly at Almeria, as the guarantees it offers in terms of production and price are highly valued. The new generations are proving that it is a business with a future because the population has to eat. And although excessive European regulation does not help, it is worth a try.
This is a sector where personal relationships are very important and trade fairs are the perfect platform for exchanging impressions, closing deals and gathering information in a relaxed atmosphere. Hence the success of this new edition of Infoagro Exhibition, which ends today.
